Dear Colleagues and Distinguished Guests,
On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Asia-Oceania Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG-AO) and the Organizing Committee of the 5th Annual Conference of PTCOG-AO, we invite you to support our efforts to host the PTCOG-AO 2025 on 7 - 9 November 2025 in Hong Kong SAR, which is the most important education conference related to particle therapy in Asia. Next year we celebrate a 5th Anniversary milestone of this important educational conference for radiation oncology, and it is the first time this conference is being held in Hong Kong.
Cancer continues to be number one burden and killer in many countries and the Asia region contributes to around 50% of the world's cancer incidence. In many developed countries, over 50% of cancer cases require radiation therapy and particle therapy (including proton therapy or heavy-ion charged particle therapy like Carbon-ion therapy) is the most advanced form of radiation therapy. As particle therapy technology advances, patient demand rises, and so does the need for specialized education and training for radiation oncology professionals.
PTCOG-AO is committed to achieving its mission by establishing and upholding common standards in particle therapy, ensuring delivery of the highest quality therapy for appropriate diseases. The PTCOG-AO 2025 will be held at the Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre and HKSH Proton Therapy Centre on 7 – 9 November 2025. This prestigious conference will be hosted by HKSH Medical Group. Established in 1922, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, as a key member of HKSH Medical Group, is a leading hospital in Hong Kong equipped with Hong Kong's first proton therapy system with the latest technology. Consistently ranked among the best hospitals in Asia, HKSH has been a pioneer in various advanced medical technologies, nursing care, and patient-centric care, serving as a model of care in Asia Pacific region.
World-renowned experts from around the world will join our faculty for the conference, together with leading researchers from the region, sharing the latest evidence-based scientific knowledge, best practices, multi-disciplinary exchanges, and latest industry technological features with over 600 attendees from Hong Kong and overseas. The unique role of particle therapy transcends radiation oncology and carries tremendous significance in curbing cancer overall.
We hope we can count on your support and look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong in 2025!
